The Elmalı coins found in Antalya's Elmalı district have finally been returned to their original home, where they will be on display at the Antalya Museum after more than two decades away. Smuggled out of the country in 1984, the coins were returned to Turkey in 1999 after a lengthy legal process and were exhibited at the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations in Ankara.

The usually sunlit Antalya was aglow even more over the weekend with Turkish movie stars descending on the city as the Mediterranean holiday hotspot unrolled the red carpet for this year's Altın Portakal (Golden Orange) International Film Festival on Saturday.

The southern city of Antalya will host the 10th edition of its annual Piano Festival next month. Scheduled for Nov. 4-21, the festival will open with a recital by internationally acclaimed Turkish classical pianist-composer Fazıl Say. Other world-renowned performers on the bill include Gülsin Onay, Michel Camilo, Muhiddin Dürrüoğlu, Aziza Mustafa Zadeh, Alexander Ghindin, Janis Vakarelis and Miriam Mendez.
