The Church of St. Nicholas, in the Demre district of Antalya, is on its way to becoming an important marriage destination for the Christian world as the Mediterranean region works to attracts more wedding tourism. With the new "Wedding City of Antalya" project, the southern city aims to build on its global reputation as a holiday destination and diversify tourism in the area.

Russian businesspeople’s new destination for investments is Turkey’s southern city of Antalya. Realizing what a popular vacation destination Antalya has become for Russian citizens, many Russian companies have begun to invest in hotel construction in the area. 

Antalya provincial Treasurer Hidayet Mat has announced that the Treasury had received seven applications to reserve land to build university campuses in Antalya in the last two years. Antalya Trade and Industry Chamber, or ATSO, Chairman Çetin Osman Budak also said Antalya had the potential to be an alternative to Turkish Cyprus with the number of university investments. 

Turkey’s first five-star hotel and health center for elderly people, supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to diversify tourism, has opened in the village of Duacı, about two kilometers away from Antalya.
